Udall scholarships are awarded by the Morris K. Udall Foundation.

KU has two unions: the Kansas Union and the Burge Union. Use union on second reference unless the story mentions both unions. In that case, use the full name on second reference. Also, KU Memorial Unions refers to the organization that manages both the unions.

Formerly called the Freshman-Sophomore Advising Center.

Not Kansas University. On second reference, KU or university. KU is acceptable on first reference for campus publications.

Lowercase "the" except when the name is part of an address.

Do not use KU Med. The hospital, which is governed by an independent authority board, is affiliated with the University of Kansas schools of medicine, nursing and allied health.
